You download a program that can open them then you become part of the hive and spread the download further.
I think that's enough of the torrent talk, as that could unravel into discussion of illegal things, which is against the forum rules.
Not all torrents are illegal. And it isn't a sin to merely discuss them. Now saying that you've actually downloaded torrents and whatnot is something to stray away from. But discussing them and their use is not wrong.

But even though not all torrents are illegal, the discussion of legal ones can lead to the discussion of illegal ones. Our forum rules were posted recently and you just came back, so no harm done.
